Puri Ganesha Villa
When English Egyptologist and interior designer Diana von Cranach bought a piece of beachfront land in the northwest corner of Bali, her dream was to build laid-back luxury accommodation with top hotel service.
The villas are traditional but have colonial touches and are designed for peace and privacy. Puri Ganesha is exactly what a tropical holiday destination should be: beautiful, welcoming and unpretentious with super food!
Each of the four, two storey thatched beachfront villas have more than 350m2 living space, private 5 x 12 meter swimming pools, face due east and are set in open gardens leading down to the sea, with antique rice barns for lounging on the beach, only 50 meter away.
There are cool terracotta floors in the dining & living areas & on the wrap-around terraces furnished with antique day beds for lazing, reading or simply gazing out to sea.
The quiet downstairs bedroom opens into a large coral-walled garden bathroom, a circular staircase leads up to an open terrace & the wooden-floored, master bedroom with adjoining shower bathroom & dressing room. The antique four-poster bed is surrounded by huge windows and panoramic views of the calm Bali Sea.
Each villa has :
- Butler & restaurant service from 7.30am to 10.30pm.
- air-conditioned bedrooms
- CD + Cassette player
- IDD telephone
- laundry service
- private 5 x12 meter swimming pool
- antique rice barns for lounging on the beach
- baby sitting service and special in-house therapeutic masseur on request
Food & Flavours
Great food is very important for a great holiday, so we offer our guests the freshest and tastiest organic food possible using ingredients of the highest quality and serving no red meat, just chicken, fish & vegetable dishes
Our products are sourced from local organic farmers who really care about what they produce. This is reflected in our exciting menus that change every day.
Puri Ganesha is one of the few hotels in the world to offer guests an alternative “LIVING FOOD” menu. Introductory ‘living food’ courses can also be arranged and Yoga & ‘Living Food’ retreats feature regularly in our calendar.
For those intrepid foodies who would like to gain a deeper insight into the role that food plays in the culture of Bali, we organize a tailor-made 3 or 5 night ” RICE & SPICE ADVENTURE “ ( please email for further details! ).
Puri Ganesha’s four very private one, two and three bedroom villas are situated on 400 meter of sand & coral beach in the quiet, unspoiled fishing village of Pemuteran in the northwest corner of Bali, near the National Park, at a 3 ½ hours scenic drive from the airport.
The journey of about 3 ½ hours from the airport or from Ubud to get to Puri Ganesha might sound terribly long, but the drive does take you past the volcanic lakes and central mountains, through the coffee and clove plantations and through some of the most spectacular scenery on the island and there’s a stop half way.
