Exploring the Solor and Alor archipelago East of the Island of Flowers

On day 1 you will embark on Ombak Putih in Tulehu harbor on the island of Ambon. The vessel will depart in the course of the afternoon and she goes on a South-Easterly course for the overnight crossing to Bandaneira.
On day 1 embarkation at Maumere Harbour on Flores. The vessel will leave in the course of the afternoon and take you on an overnight crossing to one of the most remarkable sights in Eastern Indonesia: Kumba. Your first sunset and dinner at sea.
On day 2 you will wake up with the ship at anchor off the Island of Kumba, a smoldering volcano in the middle of the Flores sea. You will go ashore on one of the pebble beaches and this is also the first opportunity to go snorkeling. We leave in the course of the morning and proceed to the island of Alor. We will drop our anchor at the entrance of Kebola Bay and spend the night there.
On day 3 we will moor at Kalabahi, the port and capital of Alor Island and through the rugged landscape we cross to the village of Takpala to get some insight in the specific character of Alor and witness some traditional dances.
On day 4 we will explore the small islands of Pura and Ternate in the Pantar Strait. In this area we are very likely to run into some of the dolphins that are indigenous to these waters.
On day 5 we will sail around the South Coast of Pantar into the Alor Strait. In the afternoon we will go ashore for a trek on the uninhabited island of Watubalu. The island has a population of wild deer.
On day 6 we arrive on the South coast of Lembata to visit the traditional whale hunting village of Lamalerap. Here local fishermen still practice a primitive form of whaling with their small open boats called "pledang".
On day 7 we explore Waienga Bay on the North side of the the island at the foot of the majestic Ile Api volcano, an area known to produce the best ikats of Lembata. We go ashore to visit one of the most traditional villages on the island. In the evening beach BBQ.
