| The long time
residence of acclaimed Indonesian photographer Rio Helmi is now open to
guests. The two compounds, five airconditioned bedrooms in all, are set in
2000 square meters of verdant gardens with large shady mango, rambutan,
guava, and bodhi trees. There is a 25 meter lap pool for serious swimmers
in one compound, and a 7 meter plunge pool for the more relaxed in the
other. Each features a well equipped kitchen, and friendly
staff. If you sit in the Balinese style main living pavilion under a meticulously thatched roof, the serenity soaks in. Yet if you really do still need to stay in touch, there are phone lines and internet connections, cable television with BBC, CNN, ESPN, HBO, Cinemax, and many more channels. Simple luxury set in central Ubud, literally two minutes walk from some of the finest restaurants and best shopping in town. Temple festivals, dances, cultural events, yoga classes, spas, all you need to do is literally stroll down the road. |
